Rogaine Race

6 hour ROGAINE: 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
3 hour ROGAINE: 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Rogaine stands for Rugged Outdoor Group Adventure Involving Navigation and Endurace. Rogaining is the sport of long distance cross-country navigation. Rogaining involves both route planning and navigation between checkpoints using a variety of map types. In a rogaine, teams of 2-5 people choose which checkpoints to visit within a time limit with the intent of maximizing their score. Teamwork, endurance, competition and an appreciation for the natural environment are features of the sport

3 Hour ROGAINE Online Fees Paper Registration Fees
February 5 - August 31 $35 / person $42 / person
September 1 - October 16 $40 / person $47 / person
October 17 - 19   $50 / person

*No online registrations will be accepted after October 16. Race day registration will be allowed for the Rogaine race. To register for the ROGAINE race, you must be in a team of 2-5.

6 Hour ROGAINE Online Fees Paper Registration Fees
February 5- August 31 $45 / person $52 / person
September 1 - October 16 $50 / person $57 / person
October 17 - 19   $65 / person

*No online registrations will be accepted after October 16. Race day registration will be allowed for the Rogaine race. To register for the ROGAINE race, you must be in a team of 2-5.

Each participant will receive a  long-sleeve tech tee. Those who register early will have the greatest success in getting the size they request. Every attempt will be made to accommodate your request, but sizes cannot be guaranteed. NO EXCHANGES of shirts will be allowed until after the events.

Participants must be 12 years of age to participate in the 3 hour Rogaine and 14 years of age to particpate in the 6 hour Rogaine.

Training

Training dates will be announced in February and March.

Participants need to be prepared to spend two-three hours walking and hiking in the woods. Appropriate dress will depend on the weather but wearing long pants will help to protect one's legs. Proper footwear is required so wear running shoes, trail shoes or light hiking shoes. This training is free to all interested participants.

Important Items to bring include:

  • Extra socks- there are water crossings
  • Bug Spray
  • Hydration Equipment- a camelbak or something of that nature
  • Snacks
  • Rain gear as dictated by the weather
