DATE NIGHT IN THE OZARKS
Begin the perfect Ozarks date night early with a romantic walk at the Japanese Stroll Gardens. It is quaint, off the beaten path and simply stunning. It is especially beautiful in the fall, but year round the lush landscape is perfectly maintained and really feels like you are stepping into a fairy tale.
After you have found your zen at the Japanese Stroll Gardens, head to dinner at Garbo’s in Chesterfield Village. The family owned restaurant has great prices, fresh eats and a casual atmosphere. We recommend beginning with their famous house salad. Then, go ahead and indulge with your favorite pizza topped exactly how you like it.
The next stop on the perfect date night is a round of mini golf. We picked Fun Acre, because, why not?! Enjoy laughs as you meander throughout the 18 holes. Don’t worry, they haven’t changed a bit since the last time you were there and that is EXACTLY why we love it.
Now that you have worked off a bit of dinner, its time to kick back and relax before ending the perfect date night in Springfield, Missouri. Head over to Tie & Timber at Cherry and Pickwick to enjoy a fresh local brew, great atmosphere and maybe even play a game of checkers or Trivial Pursuit.
Date night doesn’t have to be over the top, it doesn’t have to be expensive and it doesn’t have to revolve around a large fancy meal. Keep it simple. Unplug. Leave the phone in the car. Engage with your sweetheart. Laugh. Enjoy each other and our city!
